They all use different things. They use what they like to work with and so it depends on your stylist. Ask them. Most likely they sell it and want you to buy their products.. they make money off it. That's what they are there for.. ask for advise!

I like to get weaves in my hair and find it hard to find a hairdresser that is able to pick up where my old hairdresser left off and only pick up the roots of the peices that are already highlighted.Does ayone know of a reputable hairdresser near Palo Alto, California?
I dont know any in particular but if you go to www.yelp.com you can put in Palo Alto and hair salon and there you can see other peoples reviews on particular hair salons. I'd start there and find a few that have good reviews then go to the actual salon and ask them whether they think they can pick up where the highlights have been left off, ask about their prices and then call later to make an appointment. Good luck (i have tried to have my highlights continued from where theyve grown out and the hair stylists have always screwed up, that was at a beauty school though so avoide those)

Wow, thats an expensive perm. Norm is to tip 20% on beaty services but with the amount that high, I'd give $100 and call it a day. Part of the work in only in the beginning, then you have to sit under the light so you shouldnt tip for that part, it just prolongs the process.How much to tip a hairdresser for a straightening perm?
wow thats alot well id say min of $50 that sounds like alot of work i get my hair cut for like $80 and i always tip $10

uhm usualli u have to dye it another color before you do the black especialli if it is blonde,cause its gonna end up being brown lol
