I really want my hair to look quite choppy, I've heard a razor will be good for that sort of thing but i've also heard you have to use scissors first. So do I tell them how much I want trimming and then ask them if they can use a razor afterwords, i'm confused lol. Also if they do use a razor should I still get my hair thinned out because i also heard using a razor makes it less bulky. Hope that makes sense, thank you for answers in advance :) xWhat is it I need to say when I go to hairdressers?
I've heard that using a razor will prevent it from looking choppy and make the ends thinner so I think scissors would work to be choppy
if you dont know what to say bring in a picture and tell them you want to this looks and REALLY emphasize how much you want cut off because hairdressers love to cut off more then you ask!What is it I need to say when I go to hairdressers?
Let the hairdresser decide what is the appropriate tool to use to acheive ';choppiness';.. The best thing to make sure of is to explain in detail the length that you want to be left with, how thin you want it and how choppy. A picture is also worth a thousand words, so bring the stylist a photo of the look you are going for. Also check out the Wonder Bun at WonderBunCurls.com. It is great for medium-long layered hair if you want to change it up to full volume curls!
ok well i have a picture of choppy hair i think you should see how it looks after you've had it done then see if you want it thinned out. if you take this picture in say you want razored layered hair like this and if you want to keep your length say but keeping my own length;
