I have a question about home bleaching kits. How many people use Jerome Russell Bblonde hair bleach? when you retouch the roots every few weeks/months, do you apply the colour to previously bleached hair too, like a normal hair dye? I am not sure how it all works. I have dark roots, pale orangey/yellow for about 3-4cm then blonde, which is from previous bleaching with Jerome Russell Bblonde, is it same to put it on the roots for 20mins, then on the 3-4cm of orangey colour for 20 mins then add remainder of bleach to rest of hair for 10-20 mins, thank youDoes anyone bleach their hair at home? or are there any hairdressers on here?
I've been bleaching my own hair for 20+ years and it's quite straightforward once you get the hang of it.
It's important to pay a lot of attention to your hair each time and adjust the pack instructions accordingly.
Most home bleach kits contain two steps in one product - the 'bleach' element and the 'colour' element, but most folks just refer to the product as 'bleach' the distinction is important, however, because it changes how you use the product.
Is you kit marked with a colour - like 'ash blonde' or 'palest beige'? If so it's a colour as well as bleach. If it's just called 'lightening kit' or similar, it's just bleach.
So. If it's a colour, I'd do just what you describe, although I'd cut the timing on the orangey bit to about 10 mins and about 5 mins on the lengths - it's easier to re-do if the colour isn't quite fair enough than fix fried hair!
If it's a bleach then do the same but miss out going over the already blonde bits.
Use a good, protein-based, conditioner afterwards, especially if your hair isn't short to avoid breakage and/or frizzinessDoes anyone bleach their hair at home? or are there any hairdressers on here?
when reapplying bleach NEVER overlap onto the blonde.... this will over process it leaving it prone to breakage.
just put on the roots only as a regrowth application,
you can slightly over lap onto the yellow colour as this had been unprocessed..... with bleach it is observational and had no time limit but it is recommended to leave it no longer than 40mins per application, just wash it off when it is the right colour,
try using a silver shampoo as well as this is naturalise any yellow tones within the hair.
sorry but nothing good can come out of bleaching hair at home, u just cant get a good result hence the yellow result you already have, if you really have to do it at home then DO NOT apply it to the previously coloured hair you will fry it off and make it worse, you only need to apply it the roots, if you have more than a cm regrowth then apply it the roots 1cm away from the roots, then once you have done that then go through and do the roots, the hottest part of your hair is the scalp and 1cm from the scalp is the warmest so the colour will process quicker meaning an uneven result. But I strongly reccomend seeing a professional they can tone it with the right toner and even out the ends for you.
You must only use the bleach on the roots of your hair or it will damage the rest and this could make it break off. If you want to lift the orange bit water down the solution to make it weaker, do not use on the rest but you could then put a toner all over if you want.
Don't take the risk!
You know how important our hair is to us!
Think how you will feel when it does not turn out right.
I know it is expensive, but go to a reputable hairdresser!
It will be worth it!!
i dont ..most people do
