Heyya, I've always liked changing my hair colour but now its black its a lot more difficult. I would like to dye it a lighter shade as i have had it black for around 8 months and really ready for change.
I've recently had a lot cut off and its in a graduated bob, with it around mid-neck length at the front.
I realise the best way to do this, is to visit a hairdresser but is there any cheaper option without completely ruining my hair? I don't want to go blonde just hoping for a medium brown shade or a plum colour.
I don't want to let it grow out as my natural hair colour is a light to medium brown.
I've heard of oops shampoo but can you get it in England?
Or anyone got any better suggestions?
Thankyou! How can i lighten my dyed black hair without visiting the hairdressers?
You might try buying a color stripper. I live in the U.S. and beauty supply stores sell them for about $12 (maybe 6 or 7 pounds where you are?) Color stripper will take much of the black out without damaging your hair. It will not leave your hair its original color, but you should be able to get it to a medium or light brown. I used color stripper after dying my hair black and it lifted to an auburn. (I have naturally dark brown hair.)How can i lighten my dyed black hair without visiting the hairdressers?
buy a dye and then you can do a strand test, just simply pull out a strand of hair and test it with the dye, then you know wether to use that colour or not.
I dont know if you have this brand in america, but in england you can buy something called head and shoulders shampoos and conditioners. I was told my my hair dresser not to use this on dyed hair because it tends to strip the colour out and fade it. If this is available in the US you could always give it a go.
its not my fult .. if you u see anyone u can fell it?
